In times of expanding cities, suburbs are growing into intersections of green space idyll and fanning-out beton. They are illusory worlds of restricting symmetry and occasionally unsettling silence. Adolescents plan their escapes into allegedly better worlds of big cities – and return to the scene of their carefree childhoods, just like I did.
I see my kids, myself as a kid, my parents in myself, myself. Present. Love, and cracks in the matrix, glitches in our perfect world.
